Courtney is an associate attorney whose primary areas of practice are family law, personal injury, foreclosure defense, probate, and estate planning. Her typical clients are adults, children, and individuals lacking capacity to represent themselves. Prior to joining our office in November 2014, she worked as associate counsel with a large Connecticut firm where she represented corporate clients, spending many hours in court hearings and mediations. As a result, she is thoroughly familiar with the intricacies of foreclosure litigation and mediation programs available to homeowners and has a strong relationship with court personnel across the state.
In 2012, Courtney obtained her Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law where she completed the Mediation Certificate Program. While in law school she externed with Hon. Antonio C. Robaina at Hartford Superior Court, preparing written and oral memoranda, performing legal research, and participating in medical malpractice and personal injury mediations and pre-trial conferences. Additionally, Courtney studied at the historic Trinity College School of Law in Dublin, Ireland, as part of a summer exchange program.
As an immensely proud Providence College Friar, Courtney graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work in 2009. She brings unparalleled compassion to the office daily, which enables her to advocate zealously on behalf of her clients. Finally, Courtney resides in Naugatuck, where she happily spoils her Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso, Fitzpatrick, and Pit Bull, Remmy.
